CME Accreditation and Designation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Cardiovascular Research Foundation and Sutter Heart & Vascular Institute. The Cardiovascular Research Foundation is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Cardiovascular Research Foundation designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Documentation of awarded credit is provided for registered attendees in exchange for completed activity evaluations. Certificates of attendance are provided to all registered attendees.
Program Overview
This program addresses the ever-present need to get up to date information on cardiovascular and endovascular therapies. The program includes a variety of lectures, case presentations and panel discussions with emphasis on a core curriculum approach.
Target Audience
Cardiologists (interventional, non-interventional & electro-physiologists), interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, primary care providers and others involved in the management of cardiovascular disease.
Objectives
Upon completion of this conference, the participant will be able to:
- Express factors in case selection, and understand the risks and benefits of carotid stenting.
- Explain how advances in devices and operator techniques are impacting the interventionalists’ role in treating structural heart disease and preventing stroke.
- Recognize the latest literature and recommendations for coronary stenting in the DES era.
- Describe how advanced percutaneous techniques and devices are expanding the role of the interventionalist in the treatment of claudication and critical limb ischemia.
- Evaluate the latest pharmacological clinical data and how it affects your patients.
- Understand the most recent data and trends in the field of electro-physiology.
